Mans Best Field welcomes visiting dogs—with Mansfield registration first
Nonresidents may visit the wooded park, but registration, age limits and Tuesday maintenance still apply.

Living outside Mansfield does not rule out a visit to Mans Best Field Dog Park, but the city’s registration requirement still applies. The park’s FAQ says all visiting dogs must be registered with Mansfield, including dogs whose owners live elsewhere.
The park is at 610 West Broad Street and has four fenced paddocks in a wooded setting. Dogs must be older than four months, healthy and current on vaccinations. Children younger than twelve are not allowed in the off-leash paddocks; visitors aged twelve to sixteen need an adult. Read the full rules before planning a family outing.

Tuesday is the regular maintenance day. Weather, mud and other work can also affect access, and the city provides a daily status hotline at 817-728-3647. Winter hours end earlier than the March-through-October schedule, so check the current timetable as November approaches rather than relying on a previous evening visit.
Paddock assignments can rotate, including temporary closures to help grass recover. Follow the signs on each visit and keep toys, treats and food out of the off-leash areas as the rules require. A successful first outing begins with paperwork and a status check, then continues with an attentive owner who can adjust the visit to the dogs already there.
